Legal Agreement — Read Before Registering

Participant Agreement

This is the formal legal agreement covering eligibility, registration terms, pricing, refund policy, and liability. Distinct from the event rules — this is the binding contract you accept when you register.

Last updated: March 2026. This agreement applies to all registrations for Camp Pawprint 2026 (September 25–27, 2026 at Paul Lake Provincial Park, BC).
Section 1

Eligibility

Camp Pawprint is an 19+ event. By registering, you confirm that you are 19 years of age or older as of September 25, 2026.

  • You must present valid government-issued photo ID at check-in.
  • Minors will not be admitted under any circumstances, regardless of who accompanies them.
  • Registration is open to anyone 19+ who agrees to this Agreement and the Code of Conduct.
  • You do not need to be a member of the furry community to attend, but you must be comfortable in a furry-community space.
Section 2

Registration & Badge

Your registration creates a unique attendee record and assigns you a badge number (e.g. CPP-2026-0042). This is your official identifier for the event.

  • You may register on behalf of yourself only. Each attendee must have their own account.
  • Provide accurate contact and emergency information. This may be used in an emergency.
  • Badge numbers are non-transferable. You may not give your registration to another person.
  • Registrations are subject to organiser approval. We reserve the right to cancel a registration for cause.
Section 3

Pricing & Payment

Event pricing has not yet been finalised. Registering now secures your spot at no cost until pricing is announced.

  • You will be emailed when pricing is set and given the opportunity to confirm or cancel your registration.
  • Payment will not be collected until you confirm your attendance after pricing is announced.
  • If you do not confirm attendance by the deadline, your spot may be released to the waitlist.
  • If Camp Pawprint is cancelled by the organiser (e.g. due to wildfire closures or other force-majeure events), full refunds will be issued.
  • Refund policy for voluntary cancellations will be published alongside pricing details.
Section 4

Conduct Expectations

All attendees are required to abide by the Code of Conduct at all times during the event, including travel to and from the campsite.

  • Treat all attendees, event staff, and other park users with respect.
  • Harassment, threatening behaviour, or intimidation will result in immediate removal without refund.
  • No illegal drugs or controlled substances are permitted on-site.
  • Organisers and designated staff have the authority to remove attendees who violate these terms. Their decisions are final on-site.
Section 5

Safety & Liability

Camp Pawprint takes place at Paul Lake Provincial Park, an outdoor wilderness environment. Participation involves inherent physical risks.

  • You attend at your own risk. The organisers are not responsible for personal injury, illness, or loss of property.
  • You are responsible for your own camping gear, food, medications, and personal safety.
  • In an emergency, call 911 first, then notify event staff.
  • We strongly recommend travel/activity insurance for the event weekend.
  • You consent to receive first aid from event staff in case of emergency.
Section 6

Privacy

We collect registration information (name, email, emergency contact, etc.) solely for the purposes of running the event.

  • Your information will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Emergency contact information may be shared with emergency services if required.
  • We may send you event-related emails (updates, payment info, final instructions). You can request removal from our list after the event.
  • Photos and videos taken at the event may be shared publicly by organisers and attendees. If you have concerns about being photographed in suit or out of suit, please speak to event staff.
Section 7

Park Rules & Leave No Trace

Paul Lake is a BC Provincial Park. All attendees must comply with BC Parks regulations in addition to our event rules.

  • Pack out everything you pack in. No exceptions.
  • Violations of park rules (littering, damaging vegetation, violating fire bans) may result in fines from BC Parks and removal from our event.
  • You are responsible for any damages caused by you or your party to park property.
Section 8

Changes to This Agreement

Camp Pawprint is a first-time event, and some details may change as we get closer to the date. We will notify registered attendees of any material changes via email.

  • Continued attendance after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
  • If a change materially affects your ability to attend, you may cancel and receive a full refund (if payment has been collected).
