Know Before You Go

Event Rules

The short version. For the full policy, see the Code of Conduct.

This page is a quick-reference summary. The full Code of Conduct and Participant Agreement take precedence and contain important detail. All registered attendees are expected to have read them.
Hard Rules — Zero Tolerance

Violations of these rules result in immediate removal without refund.

  • No illegal drugs or controlled substances — anywhere on site, no exceptions.
  • No minors. This is a 19+ event. ID is checked at arrival.
  • No harassment or threatening behaviour toward any person.
  • No non-consensual physical contact — including touching fursuits without asking.
  • No littering in the park. Pack out everything you bring in.
  • No ignoring fire bans. BC Parks fire rules are law.
  • No NSFW activity in public spaces. This includes nudity, sexual activity, and explicit content on clothing or fursuits.
Expected of Everyone

The basics we expect from every attendee.

  • Bring valid government-issued photo ID. It will be checked at arrival.
  • Treat all attendees, staff, and park visitors with respect.
  • Always ask before hugging, touching, or handling someone's suit.
  • Bring all your own gear, food, and water. No rentals or on-site catering.
  • Store food bear-safely. Ask staff on arrival if unsure.
  • In an emergency: call 911, then find event staff.
  • Report concerns to staff. We'd rather hear it than not.

Alcohol Policy

  • Permitted for adults (19+ in BC)
  • Drink responsibly
  • Never pressure others to drink
  • Intoxicated behaviour causing disruption = removal

Fursuits

  • Totally welcome and celebrated!
  • All public characters must be SFW
  • Suit safely — bring water & a handler
  • Ask before touching anyone's suit

Noise & Quiet Hours

  • Keep noise reasonable, especially late at night
  • BC Parks quiet hours apply
  • Other campers in the park deserve rest too

Leave No Trace

Paul Lake is a protected provincial park. We are guests here. Everything you bring in must leave with you — food scraps, packaging, cigarette butts, all of it. Any attendee found littering will be removed and may be reported to BC Parks.

Reporting & Enforcement

Find a staff member wearing the event lanyard for any concern. You can also report via the contact form (mark subject "CoC Report"). Staff decisions are final on-site. Removal means immediate departure from the event — no negotiation.

Remember: We are in a shared provincial park, and our behaviour reflects on the wider furry community. Don't be the reason future events get banned from parks. Be respectful, follow the rules, and let's all have a great time together!
